Content:Course reinforces math skills from a business and personal finance perspective. In addition to reinforcing math topics, such as using rational numbers, measurement, ratio and proportion, exponents, formulas and statistical concepts, these courses apply these skills to consumer problems and situations. Personal applications may include budgeting, taxation, credit, banking services, insurance, buying and selling products and services, home and/or car ownership and rental, managing personal income, and investment applications. Business applications might include wages, hourly rates, payroll deductions, sales, receipts, accounts payable and receivable, financial reports, discounts, and interest. The use of spreadsheet and financial software will be integrated.
