Meridian Technical Charter High School is hosting a 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗦𝗰𝗮𝗺 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 on 𝗧𝗵𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗝𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟭𝟱 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝟲:𝟬𝟬–𝟳:𝟬𝟬 𝗣𝗠 at MTCHS.

The 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁’𝘀 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 will share information on current scam trends and offer practical tips to recognize, prevent, and report fraud. This important event is part of the MTCHS SkillsUSA Scam Awareness Project, a student-led community service initiative focused on education and prevention.

👨‍👩‍👧 Parents, guardians, and adult family members are encouraged to attend
🎓 Students who bring an adult family member will earn one hour of community service toward their Citizenship & Professionalism grade

Our second SkillsUSA Tech Fair is happening this Friday, and this round is all about Leadership Skills!

Last week, students put their technical talents to the test — from programming and electronics to media design and math challenges. This week, we`re shifting gears and focusing on the essential leadership and professional skills that help students shine in the workplace and beyond.

Students will compete in events like public speaking, interview skills, job readiness, and other leadership-focused challenges. And don’t forget — Friday is a Professional Dress Day! Students are expected to come dressed to impress, ready to bring their A-game in both performance and presentation. 👔✨

SkillsUSA is all about building leadership, teamwork, and career-ready skills in students. We can’t wait to see our Dragons demonstrate their talents, confidence, and professionalism! 💪🐉

Our SkillsUSA Tech Fair has moved from February to December!
Competitions will take place on Friday, December 5 and Friday, December 12.

This is the chance for our students to challenge themselves, showcase their skills, and earn a spot at State competitions — with the potential to advance to Nationals! Student participation in Tech Fair is required, and is part of their grade.

Please note: Next Friday, December 12, the second day of Tech Fair, will be a Professional Dress Day.
